Steps to Use your SGD Level 1 Voucher

Our SGD Level 1 devices are the iPad & the iPhone, and STAP requires that you have an SGD App to use with it.

If you already own an SGD App, then you can use all the fund for the device. But if you do not own an SGD App, we are required to split the fund between an SGD App and the device.

DEVICE & APP

While the 2025 Voucher Value for SGD Level 1 is $1092, the Equipment Values set by STAP are:

SGD Level 1 - iPad $886
SGD Level 1 - iPhone $1060


The STAP policy is that STAP will pay the LOWER amount of either the Voucher Value or the Equipment Value. In this case, the Equipment values are less than the Voucher Values so STAP will only pay $886 toward an iPad+SGD App, and $1060 toward an iPhone+SGD App.

STEP TO PLACE YOUR SGD Level 1 ORDER:

  1. Start by selecting your SGD App.
    • We recommend asking the Speech-Language Pathologist who will be training you to use the Speech Generating Device which SGD App they are familiar with.
    • When you go to our listing for SGD Apps, you can see all the apps we know about with each price.
    • This listing also includes an options "I already own an app" so you can communicate to use that we do not need to purchase an app.

  2. Click "Add to the Cart" to add the SGD app to our order. Make note of how much of the Equipment Value SGD iPad $886 or SGD iPhone $1060 remains to be used toward the device.
  3. Then go back to shop for the iPad or iPhone.
  4. On the individual product page, choose "Speech generating device Level 1" from the Voucher-value drop-down box. 
  5. Click "Add to the Cart"
  6. When you have a cart with device + an app, click "Check Out"
  7. Under the “Order Summary” section, enter the Discount Code based on the device you selected - for iPads, enter SGDiPad; for iPhones, enter SGDiPhone. Once the discount is applied the cart total is your out of pocket cost after the Equipment Value has been removed.
  8. Enter your email.
  9. Choose your payment option.
    • Click "Pay Now" to submit your order.
  10. Send us your blank voucher.
  11. Once we receive your voucher, we will fill it out and send a copy for digital signing through AdobeSign.
  12. When we receive your signed copy of the Voucher + Invoice, we will ship the item directly to you.
